Request a Sig

Thank you for your interest in having a signature made. Although the majority of sigs have been for Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft, I am open to making sigs from other games. Please read ALL of the following before you submit a signature request.

First and foremost, this is a free service I provide. I derive no income from this, which means I have to go to work. I also have a life outside of making sigs. Depending on the demands of my life, the wait time for a completed sig will fluctuate between a few hours or a few weeks. Although I try to complete the signatures within a week, please don’t freak out (i.e., no daily e-mails asking where is your sig) if yours isn’t done within a week.

The boring stuff you need to know:

  1. It is your responsibility to make sure that any images that you want me to use for your signature are not copyrighted or you have the permission of the original artist to use that particular image. (Please note I will try to work in your non-character images to the best of my ability, but it has to be aesthetically pleasing.)

  2. You will get a copy of your completed sig e-mailed to you.

  3. You may not link your sig from my site. That is bandwidth stealing, and I will remove your sig from my site permanently and write endlessly about you on my blog because thieves make me feel like this. You can use several free image hosting sites for your signature - Tinypic, Imageshack, Free Image Hosting, and Photobucket - since you have been mailed a copy of it.

  4. I reserve the right to change your position on the list.

  5. If I do not receive links to your screenshots from you within 24 hours of you contacting me, I will remove you from the list. You are more than welcome to resubmit a request when you are ready with images.

  6. I reserve the right to refuse to make your signature or stop working on your signature. I’ve never actually had to do this as people have been more than understanding. This would probably occur if someone pestered me daily asking for their sig, demanded repeated changes to his or her sig, or had unrealistic sig expectations.

Screenshot Requirements:

  1. Make sure your character is well lit. (Please see the sample here.)

  2. Take pictures of your character against a contrasting background as it is easier for me to take your character out of the background. (The easier this is for me, the faster I can complete your sig.) This means if you are wearing a lot of brown armor, do not take a screenshot next to a cream, tan, or brown building. Most times using the blue sky as a background is a safe bet. Using a dark background with dark armor or skin/fur/whatever is not a good idea!

  3. Screenshots that are taken up close make better final images. I usually recommend waist up unless you are requesting a sig with a full-body.

  4. Do NOT send me images that measure less than 500 by 500 pixels. I know you’re trying to be helpful, but with images smaller than that, I cannot do detail work with the shading.

  5. Upload your screenshots to an image hosting site - Tinypic, Imageshack, Free Image Hosting, and Photobucket. Include the link to each screenshot you have within the message box below.

  6. Double check your screenshots to make sure you don’t have armor or weapons blocking or going through your character. Although I can remove them and have done so in the past, I will send you an e-mail requesting new screenshots and move on to the next person on my waiting list.

  7. If you have a pose you must absolutely have but cannot get your screenshots to show the pose well, please use WoW Model Viewer to pose and dress your character.

Additional Information (Please include this.):

  1. Character name - the full name you want to see on your signature.

  2. Additional Text - some suggestions are your server, guild, class, race, favorite quote, your site, etc. Remember you have have a limited amount of space for all this.

  3. Tell me what you envision and/or a bit about your or your character’s personality. Please be realistic in your expectations; my galleries will give you an idea of what I can and cannot do. Let me add that I have better sig results when I am given free reign because I have authority and control issues.

  4. Colors/Styles you don’t like - if there are colors you absolutely hate, tell me.

  5. Sig size is 600 x 140 pixels. If you have another size (full body, banner, avatar, etc.) in mind, please let me know. Full body sigs usually end up being cutout sigs.

  6. Forum icons/avatars are 200 x 200 pixels. If you need smaller size, please let me know.

  7. Entrecard icons/avatars are 125 x 125 pixels. If you need another size, please let me know.
