I Get By with a Little Help from My Friends
Posted by Bansidhe on August 24th, 2008 filed in Life in GeneralOne would think I was spending a lot of time playing the beta of Warhammer Online, but sadly, that is not the case. I’ve been swamped by the beginning of school, and I haven’t had the chance to play the Warhammer beta as much as I would have liked. Today, though, I had the opportunity to hang out with my real life buddies, and we all squeezed in some time in Warhammer together during the last night of Preview Weekend.
In the beginning, I wasn’t sure if I was having more fun because it was an unexplored area of Warhammer or because I was gaming with them. As the hours progressed, I realized I just missed having that camaraderie with my friends and seeing new content together. Really, it’s not the game that matters to me, it’s the friends. Now if I could just get Daz to play.

Its all about playing with friends. This is why I think subscription models are such a mistake. A single person who unsubs is a potential loss cascade of many more people.
