Dailies

Posted by Bansidhe on June 11th, 2008 filed in Outlands

Lately, I’ve been spending the majority of the day making sigs.  Four Alliance sigs in four days!  When I’m not making sigs, though, I spend the majority of my day completing dailies.

Sometimes I wonder what one earth is the purpose for the dailies.  I have yet come to a definite conclusion but I have some theories.

  1. Dailies give us something to fixate on, which in turns keeps us playing.
  2. Dailies help us hoard gold because we all know we’re going to need it when prices skyrocket due to the release of WotLK.
  3. Dailies fill the void when there is nothing else to do.
  4. Dailies allow us the extra gold to buy our alts an epic flying mount.

Okay, maybe that last one is just me.  That seems to be the sole purpose of running dailies with Slainte.  I am tired of riding around in my hooptie chopper.  Yet, as much as I want to get her an epic mount, I don’t always manage to get all the dailies done with her.  I even have the good intention to run dailies with Bansidhe, too.  I don’t manage to get that done either.

So the question now is how do I make these dailies more interesting?  I have yet to find the answer.

    AoC dailies perhaps?

I feels yer pain. Feels like I been doing nothing but dailies since I dinged 70. I forgets - is Bansidhe and Slainte on different servers? ‘Cause if not, I would think Ban could get through them faster - more efficients, like.

    Beer!

Ten, don’t tell me there are dailies in AoC!

Rat, Ban and Slainte are on the same server. I’m trying to work up my greed to do dailies on both toons. It’s not working.

Teepee, I’m pregnant. Beer is not an option. lol

    “hooptie chopper”

    That is a fantastic name!

I don’t think there is anything you can do to make dailies more interesting. I’ve started putting a time limit no how long I will spend on my ‘chores’. 70 minutes max (for example). At the end of my time, I’ll stop immediately even if I’m mid-quest. At least then running them becomes a game: how many can I complete in the alotted time.

Good luck! (With your spawn too! — helpful hint: a baby bjorn style carrier is fantastic for months 2-5 when you play. You can get a raid’s worth of time with your pride and joy strapped to your chest in such a fashion ;D)
