Karazhan the Final Chapter
Posted by Bansidhe on June 5th, 2008 filed in RaidingOkay, I know it’s not really the final chapter because I’ll be in Kara again next week. It just sounded good. Tonight, though, we finished the rest of Karazhan. I really like how we manage to run Kara and still get the raiders and core raiders to their main raid on time.
All we had left in Kara tonight was Netherspite, Chess Event, and Prince Malchezaar. All three were fun. We did have some issues with Prince due to bad infernal drops, so we wiped and got him down on the second attempt.

For those of you who don’t know, Prince Malchezaar is probably my most hated NPC in Karazhan. Most people would assume it is because of the randomness of the fight. No, that isn’t it. Although, that is one fight that is completely out of your control. The reason I am not fond of this fight is because out of the ten times that I have seen the Mindblade drop in the last 1.5 years while playing Bansidhe, I have lost every roll. Tenryuu often jokes about how bad my luck is when it comes to my random rolls. I’m definitely not the one you want to take with you if you’re looking to win big in Vegas.
Tonight my luck changed. Prince Malchezaar was kind enough to drop the Nathrezim Mindblade along with the Ruby Drape of the Mysticant. The mage rolled a 94, and I, for once, rolled a 99. I am now the proud owner of one beautiful Mindblade. I also got to take home the ruby cloak. And, of course, Tenryuu had to add, “It’s only taken you over a year, a new race, and a new class to finally win that.” Yeah, yeah, I know. However, I’m still excited!

Did you play on Permafrost in EQ2?
I saw a signature that looked VERY familiar.

Grats on the loot! :)
Back when Kara first came out, I ran it for six months. The sole drop I wanted was the BP for Paladins from the Imp.
Never saw it drop. I got T6 BP before it.
FInally drops. Friends let me roll on it as a joke against the other Paladin who has T6 anyway… I lost it. :( Sometimes items in WoW are elusive as hell.
I’m glad you could actually use it though. It’s truly a badass cape.
