Asara’s Sig

I’m always excited to receive sig requests. Although I will admit that sometimes I’m not as excited about working with particular races.

That most definitely wasn’t the case with Asara. In fact, I was ecstatic because I’ve never made a sig with a night elf.

Asara was very patient and sent me several poses. I really appreciate that because having several images opens up so many options for a sig. When there is only one pose, it really limits what I can do with the sig.

She also gave me the option of using her pet and included images of two different pets. I ended up using her ghost wolf, Leshya, simply because she looks awesome!

Coloring had me a bit stumped. Asara isn’t fond of earth tones (oranges, browns, etc.), so I tried many backgrounds based on the colors from her gear. Finally, I wandered over to her site to get some ideas of what she liked for colors. I stole her background image, converted it to a more watery image then proceeded to give it a cross-hatch effect.

For text, I included her name, guild, and server. She also gave me the option to include her level and class, and I’m going to be perusing the font sites for additional fonts. It would be a lot of text, but I think with the right fonts, it could work. I just need time find the perfect ones.

I made some changes to Asara’s hair and eyebrows. I gave her a thicker braid and a bigger hair tie. Other than that, I just brightened and shaded some areas.

It was a pretty clean image, so I really didn’t need to make any major changes. Although, I did fix it so that her braid no longer cuts through her chin. Oh, and being the girl that I am, I touched up her lips to have a little glow in the center.
