Maybe this picture should be called Evil and Evil Light. I am quite sure that Tenryuu will say that Slainte is more evil than Bansidhe, and he’s probably correct in saying that. Bansidhe rarely PvPed whereas Slainte loves to melt faces in Arathi Basin. Although, I do have this overwhelming urge to take Bansidhe into Arathi this weekend just to find Kestrel.

Bansidhe and Slainte are in the same picture? How did that happen? Well, Bansidhe and Slainte can now be played simultaneously. After spending two nights without Guintoch or Jinto to keep me company, I moved Bansidhe to another account so I could have at least someone with whom to game even if it was just myself. Those two were busy on their healers in SSC with their guild, so I was left to entertain myself. That’s always a bad idea.
After transferring Bansidhe to another account, which took all of fifteen minutes, I took both of them over to ZF. Zul’Farrak was interesting. Unfortunately, I started way too late in the evening, and I was too exhausted from parent-teacher conferences to finish the instance.
Last night I tried to run Slainte and Guintoch through with Bansidhe, but Blizzard was having some issues with their instance servers. The three of us got booted, and Guin and I decided it was a sign to go to bed early. However, today, we’re going to clear ZF. Then Slainte will go melt faces in Arathi Basin!

This is Prope.
Poor Prope. He requested a banner for his site, Go Druid, and an Entrecard icon weeks ago, which was the first time I got sick. I managed to get two basic layouts e-mailed to him before the flu kicked my butt last week.
During the recovery stage, I got a little sidetracked with Arathi Basin. He’s been so patient. He never hounded me. He never asked, “Hey, crazy lady, where’s my sig???” And the only thing he wanted after seeing the layouts was to have a darker background. Thank you, Prope, for all your patience!

He supplied all the images using model viewer, and he gave me many from which to choose. That led to a lot of options for layouts. I chose to place Prope in his starting clothes on the left, and the epic druid flight form on the right. Natural progression from the beginning to the end. Goes with his whole blog theme - “a blog about a druid and his trek to level 70 and beyond.”
That is the command I have heard for the last few days while playing Slainte. It, of course, comes from Tenryuu, who is convinced somehow that I will share his and his wife’s passion for PvP.
“Sure, sure, Ten,” I’d say to him with no intention of ever entering a battleground. You see, I’m one who panics when players are running at me. You’d think after purposely pulling as many mobs as possible in PvE with my warlock that PvP would be a non-issue. In fact, with a lock, I should be good at PvP, but I’m not. In fact, I rarely took my lock to any battlegrounds. I’ve just never liked PvP.
That is until now. Yesterday, as I was finishing up some quests in Arathi, I noticed a lone exclamation point behind Hammerfall. Oh look, it’s a PvP quest. For reasons still unknown to me, I found myself queuing for Arathi Basin. After a few rounds, I went back to questing. It was fun, but at level forty-four, I was still getting my face handed to me.

Today, though, was a different story. I was supposed to be making my way over to the Hinterlands to jam Nimboya’s Pike into the ground to send a message, but every time I made it across the border, it was time to enter the battlegrounds. I couldn’t walk away even if the Horde wasn’t doing well. I couldn’t stop running for the lumber mill, the farm, or the gold mine. Something just called to me.
So there I sat for hours in Arathi Basin giggling. My husband constantly was pulling off his headphones asking me if I was talking to him. “No, dear, I’m laughing at these Alliance trying to kill me.” I think he’s even stunned to see me PvPing. All I know is I can’t wait for Alterac Valley!
As I take Slainte for a whirl around Azeroth, I’ve taken a different approach with her than I have with my previous characters. Slainte is my first character to level fishing. When I say level fishing, I mean, she’s actually got her skill past 225. Most of the time, I stop around 150 just from the sheer boredom of it all. This time, though, I stuck with it.

Thus, Slainte met Nat Pagle in Dustwallow Marsh. Being the crusty fisherman that he is, he wasn’t going to give up his knowledge without exacting a price. Sadly for Slainte, that meant wandering all over the place finding the rare fish Nat was too lazy to retrieve himself. Finally after trekking across both continents for Mr. Pagle, Slainte is now an artisan fisherman.
Technically, I left on a Red Riding Nether Ray, but let’s not quibble over semantics. Plus, really, those words won’t work with the melody of the song. It doesn’t matter what mode of transportation I used to make my exit; all that matters is that I made a quiet exit from my guild this morning.
Every Saturday, I would update the site roster with the actual listing of members within game. If an account didn’t match up, it was deleted off the site. If we had new members who hadn’t made an account on the site, I would create one and send them an e-mail in game with their site information. (Don’t even get me started on the whole enabling of people aspect of that.) This was a weekly ritual.
So today, as I went through the accounts, I noticed a name that wasn’t previously on our roster. Lo and behold, someone has not only guilded Jagbag, but he’s been promoted to full member status. Now, I know he wasn’t there earlier because I would have noticed him on the roster during my weekly updates. However, I haven’t been on that much within the last week due to the fabulous flu and my obsession with my shadow priest. Read the rest of this page »
