Hunters
Posted by Bansidhe on January 28th, 2008 filed in Life in GeneralNo, this isn’t a tirade on hunters. I married one, so obviously, I have no real issues with them. It’s just not my thing. At least it’s not my thing in the real world. ;)
A buddy of mine, who seems to always be right when it comes to things in my life, suggested that I play a hunter since I am taking a long break from Ban, my warlock. I hemmed and hawed. I really wasn’t sure I wanted to play a hunter.
You see, I’ve created hunters before, but I’ve never really played them past level eight or nine, which is a shame. The fun part of hunters is the fact that they get pets at level 10. In fact, they can have up to three.
My buddy ended up playing his low level mage with me, so that I could get the hang of the hunter. After accidently leaving him behind to die many times, he proclaimed me fit to proceed on my own. I know the real reason is he was sick of me getting his character killed and laughing about it. I’m sorry, Kanen.
Anyways, I’m really digging this character. (Yeah, you’re right again, Kanen! And yeah, Guin, you’re right, too; hunters ARE fun!) It’s almost like having a warlock because of the pet. Yet, it’s different because unlike warlocks, one must go out and tame a pet. Then it can be trained. If I want a particular skill from another animal, I tame that one, learn its skill, and then teach it to whatever pet I desire. I think the best part is going to Petopia, finding a pet on there I want, and going out to get it.
This is my huntress and her pet. Kanen obliged me and took me to Darkshore to tame a pet unlike the ones usually seen in the Blood Elf starting zones. You guys know me; I have to be different from the rest. ;)
